What this site keeps.
Two forms, one server log, no trackers. This page says what comes in, where it sits, what it is used for, and how to have it removed. It is written by the person who reads the file.
The forms
What you send, and where it goes.
- What the contact form takes
- Your name, your business, a phone number, an email address, and the note you write. None of the fields is required; an email address or a phone number is enough for me to answer.
- What the free read takes
- Your business, your town, your website if you have one, and the address to send the read to.
- Where it sits
- In one file on the server that serves this site, a DigitalOcean machine in New York. The file is written once when you press the button and read by me. It is not sold, not shared, and not added to any mailing list.
- What it is used for
- To answer you. A contact note gets a reply with a time. A free read gets run and sent back to the address you gave, and nothing else is sent to it.
- The server log
- Like every web server, this one writes a line per request: the address the request came from, the page asked for, and the time. The log is kept for 14 days and then deleted by the server itself.
Third parties
Who else sees anything.
- Google Fonts
- The three typefaces on these pages load from Google’s font servers, so Google sees the address your browser asked from when a page loads. That is the one outside service these pages call.
- Analytics, pixels, cookies
- None. No analytics script, no advertising pixel, no cookie is set by this site.
- One setting in your browser
- If you switch the page between light and dark, that choice is stored in your own browser so the next page keeps it. It never leaves your browser.
Removing it
To have it taken out.
- Send one line
- Email pr@prairiemark.com from the address you gave and say remove. I delete what you sent from the file and confirm by reply. The server log expires on its own.
